Part Two, originally published in 1910 in “Warner’s Synopsis of Books,” provides plot summaries of ten major Balzac novels: The Chouans, The Magic Skin, The Country Doctor, Eugénie Grandet, The Duchess of Langeais, Father Goriot, César Birotteau, Modeste Mignon, Cousin Bette, Cousin Pons.
