Who is God? Who am I to God? What is His character, His power, His nature? What is His purpose? What is His purpose for me? How does He relate to me? He is Incomprehensible. Why is all of this information being repeated? Why is it in the past AND in the third person? The LORD spoke is Moses talking about Him in the past. What is second person and third person? Is this chapter a different point of view? Is it a different perspective? Is it just giving me background information, setting the stage? Is it Moses who says ‘I spoke to you at that time’? The one who says ‘I alone bear the load’? Is that true? Is it Moses who says ‘I will appoint’, ‘I took’, I charged’, ‘I commanded you’, ‘the thing pleased me and I took’, does Moses or does He? Why?
What does Deut. 1:28 have to do with Gen 11:4? At that time the whole were the sons of Noah. They used the same language and the same words. “And they said, “Come, let us build for ourselves a city, and a tower whose top will reach into heaven, and let us make for ourselves a name; lest we be scattered abroad over the face of the whole earth.” Will reach into heaven. What does that mean? How is that the same as ‘the cities are large and fortified to heaven’? Does this mean very tall or quite literally reaching into heaven? How does that happen?
Who are judges today? Who is His judges? ‘You shall not fear man, for the judgment is God’s’. What does this mean? Shall not the Judge of all the earth deal justly? What does it mean? His word says ‘…for you do not judge for man but for the LORD who is with you when you render judgment.’ ‘Buy truth, and do not sell it, get wisdom and instruction and understanding.
Does Chapter 3 vs. 6 sound proud? ‘And we utterly destroyed them, as we did to Sihon king of Hesbon, utterly destroying the men, women, and children of every city’. What is wrong with that? What about ‘Thou shall not murder’? Why My Lord?
Was it Og whose bestead was 13 ½ feet long and 6 feet wide? Was he 13 ½ feet tall? Why does He give me that information? Were the Rephaim all like that?
What attribute is ‘delivered’? Gracious, Omnipotent?
Who are the Amorites? Canaan is the father of the Amorites. Gen 9:25-27; 10:6
Israel is son of Shem.
Why is it important for me to know all of the different names of Hermon? Why is vs. 9, 10 & 11 in His WORD? What am I supposed to learn?
Why are all of His people going around and around in circles for centuries? Abraham passed through here when He promised it to him. Why here? Why not somewhere else? Jacob went to Jabbok. Now 600,000 some son of Israel because He have given them this land to possess it – in all the world. The world is His.
