Every storyteller gets requests for a “ghost story.” The challenge for a youth leader is to find truly scary stories that won't keep kids up all night. This is Bill's first such story. To fully appreciate it, you may want to come up with your own eerie whistle to insert at the appropriate time. When the Southern Ohio Storytelling Festival started including “really scary” stories, Bill came up with a couple of scarier endings. This is the second scariest. (The scariest one has the narrator saying at the end, “It’s kind of comforting now isn’t it, Andy. Andy? Andy!”)
