As a young girl, she lived in the Sudan, a lawless land terrorized by a merciless horde called Devils on horseback. One day the Devils brutally attacked her village, leaving her orphaned. Bereft of family and home, the young Akwete found a new life in New E.din, her adoptive home where she has grown strong and hardened by her experiences.
