This is not a short story about a child. It’s a short story about a child’s book.
One year ago I wrote a school essay in which few vegetables become bandits and try to do what usual bandits do. Daddy loved my idea and encouraged me to push the story further and more and more characters popped out from mom’s fridge.
We started with an Eggplant of Death, a fat Pumpkin of Dispair, a funny smelling Black Tomato, an uneatable Broccoli and half of a Carrot. The gang’s mastermind is a vicious white rabbit (ressembling a lot with my beloved Fluffy) known by everybody as Bandit of the Night.
Every gang’s mean intention ends up with an unexpected good result. First they travel to the east side of the forest trying to find a very strange “grass of oblivion” and I don’t want to spoil your surprise but the lazy King Bear – ruler of the forest - is deeply involved in this case. After they solve the mistery of the grass they will face a more dangerous threat : King’s Bear sinister ministers.
I did the writing and daddy did the sleeping. He said that his job was the most important because everybody can write but very few can fall asleep in impossible positions. My cousin Laura made the drawings and you can colour them as you wish. If you wish.
