●Introduction of the book
Students always asked me how to expand their English vocabulary. As a learner and teacher of English, I fully understand how difficult it is. But without increasing vocabulary, no progress in English will be made.
Working on a vocabulary book, reading thousands of articles, learning words by rote・・・I’m sure you have already tried these things. How much did these help you enrich your vocabulary?
At least for me, these were not effective at all. Many of my students in the past also said the same. Then, how can we expand our English vocabulary? Actually, this is my life-long question.
There should not be a certain right answer to the question, but at least I can say that it is better to learn vocabulary with some fun. There should be many ways, and I believe that solving a crossword puzzle is one of them.
Maybe some of the questions in this book are too difficult to solve. In that case, you can consult a dictionary or the Internet. I believe that this action will also help you learn vocabulary.
Learning vocabulary in the dull and painful way may cause you to lower your motivation to study English. Why don’t you stop it and try something different? This is the book that releases you from the pain.

Have stayed in English speaking countries for seven years: 4 years in the U.S., 2 years in Australia, and 1 year in the U.K. Passed EIKEN Grade 1 and obtained full marks (990) on TOEIC.
