Following the success of my first book, ‘999 Questions on the Rules of Golf’, which was first published in 2009 and has since been regularly updated with the amendments to the Rules of Golf and the Decisions on the Rules of Golf, I have been encouraged to follow it up with 999 new questions in an entirely different format, which I think readers will find even more interesting and easy to understand.
In this new book, the questions, answers, and most importantly, the explanations of the appropriate rulings, are divided into easy to reference sections with 9 questions about each of 111 different Rules subjects, some of which are listed on the front cover, as an indication of the contents. This format has proved to be the most popular of the three, free ‘Rhodes Rules School’ series that I email weekly to over 10,000 subscribers.
There is something here for golfers of all playing abilities and for those who wish to become their Club Rules expert, or even match and tournament officials. I can promise that as you read through this book, taking one section of 9 questions at a time you will obtain a better understanding of the Rules of Golf, which you can then take onto the course to improve not just your score, but also your enjoyment of the unique game of golf, where players are expected to respect and abide by the Rules more than in any other sport.
