On Saturday June 7, 2008 after much consideration Senator Mrs. Hilary Clinton ended her campaign and called on her 18 million supporters to join her to elect Senator Obama as the next president of the United States.
On January 20, 2009 at the West Front of the Capitol in Washington D.C, the Chief Justice, John Roberts sworn in President Barack Obama to his first term in office as the 44th President. This event marked the 56th Inaugural in US history.
In this book the author has tried to give the chronological events leading to the 2008 US presidential elections, which ushered in President Obama into the White House. The purpose of this book is to provide some material information for classroom instruction. This book may serve as a social studies material for K-12. This book will also provide some in-depth information for the reading pleasure of folks who love history, especially presidential history of the United States.
