The production of Entrevistas Constitucionales is inspired by the reading of great interviews of history, edited by Christopher Silvester (Aguilar, 1997), that brings together sixty-one interviews with the widest possible variety of characters.
My original idea was to bring together university professors who have had the greatest influence on the formation of lawyers prior to the issue of 1991 Constitution.
Conducting this set of interviews was most revealing in two ways: there was the human aspect of the individuals of very different social and cultural origins, which came together in the study of Constitutions and their political context; and there was the range of visions of the recent past of Colombian society, its conflicts and the blights of drug-trafficking and corruption. Unfortunately, some of the interviewees passed away during the long time that it took to prepare this publication.
