Clinical Experience with Modified ZrO 2 Frameworks
In this report, the authors present a clinical case exemplifying a modified technique they repeatedly and successfully used for the fabrication of all-ceramic crowns on zirconia frameworks. To improve the optical properties of the crown, experimental frameworks with a minimum thickness of 0.3 mm were provided and used the overpressing technique for veneering in the core area. The first paper provided the rationale for the procedure; it also introduced the clinical case and describes the framework design and the etkon system used. This second paper is a step-by-step account of the crown fabrication procedure and presents the clinical results.
