What you are about to read is rare yet well known. Rare, because Cristobal Peña y Lillo, has written (and drawn) an original book , with an idea between doodles and the most minimalist design. It is known, because its topic is familiar to us, with everyday situations. This book is an encyclopedia of mate customs. A wikipedia or matepedia where we can find from the commandments of the sacred infusion to the heresies of this green drink. Phrases sometimes seem to be academic and sometimes just popular humor. If you ever had a mate in your hand you will surely feel identified with any of these drawings. And a smile will be drawn in your lips if they are not shirred by the straw. A special place was earned by "Cototos". These characters are the stereotypical guy. Because a cototo is a guy, a random one, that simultaneously represents all. We are all cototos or cototas, it depends on the gender. And I dare say that what I like the most are their noses. Those noses that give personality, grace and specially side face. Those noses that get everywhere because Cototos came to snoop, they are curious. But above all, they came to stay.
