    Acerca de este libro electrónico

Evan Whitlock is an agent at Sattely Security. His number one priority is his daughter Bonnie, as he copes with his wife's death while trying to raise his child.
No matter how much he wants to ignore Megan Pike, Bonnie's babysitter, he just can't, and the attraction and conflicting emotions burden him as he tries his best to live a normal life.
But that changes when Megan alerts Sattely that someone showed up at Evan's to possibly kidnap Bonnie, and just as she has to figure out a way of telling Evan what her real job is, Megan must also keep Bonnie safe and try not to fall any deeper for Evan.

Warning: There are explicit romantic scenes. For mature audiences (+18).

    Excerpt
Megan Pike couldn’t get enough of Bonnie Whitlock’s laughter. The three-year-old’s contagious giggles, her squeals of delight and how she seemed to run out of breath just from laughing, filled the babysitter’s heart with joy.
They were dancing around in the living-room with all of Bonnie’s stuffed animals watching as they put on a show of improvised dancing that included, from Megan, silly faces and expressions as she moved like a wooden puppet.
Bonnie wrapped her chubby fingers around a teddy-bear’s arms and she spun it around as she did the same.
Megan mimicked her moves, but soon chose three small plush dolls that fit in her hands, and she juggled them while Bonnie stared at her, amazed and enchanted.
They’d finished having breakfast not half an hour earlier, and Bonnie had insisted on the dancing instead of the painting Megan had suggested.
Evan, Bonnie’s dad, had left just as Megan had arrived, as usual; they’d barely glanced at each other, as usual, given that Evan was facing certain personal issues that were disconcerting him, and that Megan was making an effort not to let slip who she was.
    What she was.
While she didn’t consider it a big deal, her orders had been clear enough.
A van stopped across the street from the lovely house in Greenwich, Connecticut.
Maybe it was the sound of the old breaks, or the fact that the three men who stood by the door after the first one knocked wore uniforms that were in really bad shape. It could also be because she had killer instincts and she knew no one was expected.
Whatever it was, Megan didn’t hesitate. She knew who she was, who Evan was, and what Bonnie meant to him.
Megan would never risk anything happening to Bonnie. So she did what she’d been trained to do.
There was a bag with a bunch of Bonnie’s things next to the back door. After having Bonnie put on her small coat and putting her own on—the late March weather was still rather cool in the morning—she gave the toddler a lollipop, told her to be quiet while pretending to play hide-and-seek, and left the house.
