Imagine a future world where everyone has a computer chip implanted in their spine that allows them to have augmented reality through their eyes and they can control electronics with their mind. It is the world of the future, but not everyone is happy about it.
An extremist group "The New Marxist” sees this device as the mark of the beast, so they cause the destruction of the world we know by the Scorch. They use the chip to create zombies, known as the “Karls”.
200 years after the Scorch, electronic devices are illegal and the world is in turmoil. A young man named Will finds a pocket watch at the local market and is drawn to it. He discovers that the watch holds the secret to rid the world from the undead still roaming the planet; but he must figure out how to release the computer virus to the world before he is murdered.
